Warranty Policy

 

 

 

1. Original equipment manufacturers’ (OEM) parts and equipment provided by FBE are warranted to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period defined by the OEM’s warranty policy, of a period of one (1) year from the date of shipment from FBE if no specific OEM warranty policy exists. Warranty coverage will include labor and materials.

 

2. OEM warranty terms and conditions vary by manufacturer and are available from FBE.  FBE makes no other or independent expressed or implied warranty related to OEM parts or equipment, except as set forth in Item #1 above.

  1. FBE will process all warranty claims with the applicable OEM on behalf of the customer, excluding truck chassis manufacturers.

 

3.  Truck chassis provided through FBE are subject to the terms and conditions set forth by the chassis OEM’s warranty policy, and all warranty claims and work must be handled by the customer directly with an OEM’s authorized dealer or repair center.

 

4. The warranties set forth above are subject to the following restrictions. FBE makes no expressed or implied warranty that a truck equipment package is free of the claim of any third party that may arise as a result of any patent, trademark, or trade name infringement. Any difficulties or costs that result directly or indirectly from the abuse, misuse, negligence, unauthorized modifications, accidents, improper repair, or lack of proper maintenance of the equipment are not covered under this warranty. FBE is not responsible for any consequential damages related to or resulting from a matter covered by this warranty, including but not limited to loss of use, lost productivity, towing costs, or any such cost or expense.

 

5. Except as set forth above, FBE makes no other expressed of implied warranty related to the truck equipment package.

 

WARRANTY CLAIM PROCESS

 

1. Contact the FBE Warranty Administrator for warranty consideration. FBE requires that the following information be determined prior to starting work:

 

a.      Assignment of an FBE repair work order/authorization number.

b.      Estimated labor and/or material costs authorized for the warranty repair

c.      Field Service Shop identification (FBE prefers to work with shops trained by FBE).

d.      Estimated date of return of the defective component(s), if applicable.

e.      Estimated completion date of the warranty repair.

 

2.  FBE will not honor warranty invoices if the claim is not processed in accordance with this policy.
